Motivated by the images of vast amounts of textile waste, we started from sheet to shirt. The textile industry is one of the world's most polluting industries: responsible for up to 10% of global carbon emissions, 20% of water pollution, and a staggering 79–93 trillion liters of water used per year. We think it’s time to do something about this!
We want to show people how sustainability can be fun, simple and stylish.
We’ve decided to focus on hotel linen. A textile that gets rejected - and understandably so - the moment it shows a single flaw. One stain, one tear, and an entire sheet is thrown away. That's where we come in. We turn these rejected sheets into premium hotel products, saving waste, millions of liters of water and thousands of kilos of CO2. Our goal isn't to add more products to the market, but to replace items currently made from virgin materials with better, upcycled products.
With from sheet to shirt products, hotels can show how much they care. With a background in marketing, PR and communications, we want to tell a positive story – a story guests will remember. We want to show people how sustainability can be fun, simple and stylish. And, we're loving the adventure.
With love,
from sheet to shirt
